Topiaries With A Twist

We have been doing SO MANY topiaries lately!  Of course, they are great for occasions elegant to whimsical, and this time, we added a bit of a twist for a bat mitzvah this morning.  We had matching long balloons connecting the top to the bottom.

Today's centerpieces had a fun and fresh feel and matched the bat mitzvah girl's invitations to a tee.  This event was held at MacGregor Downs in their clubhouse.

I think I will do a post on our most popular centerpiece ideas soon - and topiaries will be just one of them!

Carolina Hurricanes Bar Mitzvah

After a very busy week of corporate decor (no pics because the company we did two events for does not allow photos on premises due to the research done there), we got to do a very fun Carolina Hurricanes themed bar mitzvah this morning.  We built a 15ft x 8ft balloon wall with the Hurricanes logo, dance floor topiaries, along with topiary centerpieces and some topiary party poles.  It was a fun job!  We love creating logo balloon walls!  Congratulations to Jeremy as he becomes a bar mitzvah and thank you for letting Blooming Balloons be a part of this special day!

Coldwell Banker Howard, Perry, & Walston Annual Meeting

 We love working with ColdwellBanker Howard Perry and Walston on their annual meeting each year!  This year, the theme was "14 For 14" and their decor was created to highlight that theme.  Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston is the #1 Triangle Real Estate Company According to the Triangle Business Journal and are just great people to work with.  We created columns with the number 14 for all around the room, stage decor with their sales slogan, and a 10ft house for the welcome area.  Such fun!  Call us for your annual meeting and see what we can create for your company!

Joy Prom at Providence Church

Every other year, Providence Church hosts the Joy Prom, an event for people ages 16 and older with developmental and/or physical disabilities.  The principal decorator is our friend, Willie Brubaker.  We are helping Willie to create circus theme decor this year and we are responsible for the dining room decor (overhead trapeze artists!) and the welcome arch, as well as anything else we can lend our time to.  Here are some pics from set-up today.  We hope all attendees had as much fun Friday night as we had helping!

Topiaries For An Annual Meeting

Floor Topiary

Topiaries are a popular choice for any type of event!  We can create them in helium or in air-filled alternatives for centerpieces, columns, or even hanging from the ceiling.  Yesterday, we had the opportunity to provide topiary decor for Families In Action, a great community organization that works to prevent addiction by working with parents to educate and support families.  Their annual meeting was at the Doubletree Brownstone and while we were there setting up, the crew from Lizard Lick Towing, a reality TV show, was there filming a wedding scene!  I wonder if our balloons will show up on TV?

Flowers For Mother's Day!

 

 Happy Mother's Day!  Each year, we decorate the Mother's Day Brunch at the Crabtree Marriott.  This year we put up a flower arch to greet guests as they arrive. Check it out below:

Celebrating Israel's Independence Day!

8ft Star Of David

Happy Yom Ha'atzmaut or Israel's Independence Day!  We do a lot of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and love working with the celebrations around these amazing traditions.  Here are a few pieces of decor we've done featuring the Star Of David.  First, over to the right is a 8ft Star of David made from Qualatex QuickLink linking balloons.  It's great at the entry or for a photo op.

Below, we have a centerpiece, column and helium bouquet featuring the Star Of David foil balloon.  Notice that on the centerpiece, we've added an additional detail of a twisted balloon Star Of David right on the foil for added dimension.

East Wake High School Prom 2014

10 x10 Photo Op Wall

As mentioned a few days ago, we had the honor of decorating the East Wake High School Prom again this year!  The theme was Underwater Extravagance (or Under The Sea, as it's also called) and they seemed really pleased with the results.  Here are some photos of the decor!

This was SO MUCH FUN to do!  We love do detail work like adding the twisted sea critters.  The tunnel was 8ft long and used beautiful Tropical Teal and Caribbean Blue (along with white upper waves) that matched the linens and other decor in the room.
