Teaching Balloon Decor Around The World

I am so fortunate that I get to help other balloon decorators learn more about techniques and designs that have made our business so successful.  I have traveled all over the US and last January, I went to Japan to teach!  It was an amazing experience!  This week, I received the nicest thank you note and photos from one of the students from Japan.  I thought it would be fun to share on the blog!  I also included some of my favorite "off-time" photos from my trip to Japan.  I hope you enjoy this glimpse into what I do when I'm not working on local events!

Tiffany Blue Bat Mitzvah

We are so busy wrapping up June!  Last weekend, we did a Tiffany Blue Bat Mitzvah with chandeliers on the dance floor ceiling and centerpieces.

Speaking of being busy, we are already booking up for the Fall.  So many people have called within the last week few weeks, wanting decor only one or two weeks out.  We book out months in advance, so if you are thinking of balloon decor, please call us as soon as you have a date confirmed!

Trade Show Columns for Verizon

We are entering the long days of summer!

Here's a little something we did for Verizon this week.  They had a vendor table and needed some fun balloons to make it special.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but the topper balloons had the Verizon logo on them.

Thanks to Verizon for thinking of Blooming Balloons for your balloon decor at this event!

Apples & Bees for Applebees

Applebee's Restaurant on Hillsborough Street gets a 9ft pink apple every year to celebrate the Susan G. Komen Run/Walk that goes right by their location.  The last few years, they've also added 4 bees and 2 little red apples (Get it - Apples/Bees!).  We've done this job for 5 years now and it's always a fun one.  We love how Applebee's supports local business to celebrate a great cause!

Graduation at Davis Drive Middle School

More school events!  June is a busy time of year with all the graduation and other school events happening around our area.  Here is the decor we did for Davis Drive Middle School's 8th grade graduation ceremonies.  Sometimes an arch is the perfect touch to your event!  The kids love to walk through it and it makes a big impact.

Congrats to the rising 9th graders!

Sweet Dance Floor for 8th Grade Dance

Gumball Machine
Another wonderful repeat client we get to work with is Davis Drive Middle School.  Usually, we do an arch and some Party Poles for their graduation and they also use those for the 8th Grade Dance.  This year, they decided on theme decor for the Candyland dance, and we couldn't have been happier to work with them on this fun and "sweet" theme!  We made a cupcake column, a gumball column, an ice cream cone column, and an ice cream soda column as the four corners of their dance floor.  All the columns were 9ft tall!

We look forward to returning next week to put up their graduation arch so check the blog for that soon!  Thanks to the 8th Grade parents and especially the lead organizer, Catherine Stone, for being such a joy to work with.  We hope the kids had a wonderful time at the dance!

Ice Cream Soda, Ice Cream Cone, and Cupcake columns.  These were all 9ft tall!

End Of School Year Events Happening This Week

Fireworks Columns for Ravenscroft
It's time for end-of-the-school-year events and we did a few this week!  The green and gold  Fireworks Columns were for Ravenscroft's 8th grade scavenger hunt.  They also used the columns the next day for graduation ceremonies.  Talk about getting a bang for your buck!

The blue, silver, and white Party Poles were for Quest Academy's graduation celebration.

Both of these were repeat clients and we love working with them on their events!  Thank you Ravenscroft and Quest Academy for letting us celebrate with you as we close out the school year!

Shooting Stars for Coporate Event

Shooting Stars for main entrance to the event
More black, red, and white!  We keep these colors in stock because they seem to be our most popular combination!  Today's job was at the Marriott at Triangle Research Park and was a training event for Lenovo provided by our wonderful repeat customers, Premium Retail.

We made these shooting stars for the main entrance and lots of helium displays for all around the event.  We don't normally do helium decor, but we will add it to existing orders, if needed.
