Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

This Saturday was the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held at North Hills Mall.  It was such a beautiful day for it!  We made a Start/Finish Arch, 2 10ft Awareness Ribbons for the stage, a 10ft Directional Column at the street, and we spelled out SURVIVOR in big hot pink letters for the Survivor's Tent.

Despite being a windy day, the decor held up well and we were happy to work with the American Cancer Society again.

Anniversary Party at The Cotton Company

This past weekend, we decorated an Anniversary Party at The Cotton Company in Wake Forest.  What a fun venue!  Downstairs is filled with all sorts of vendor booths featuring amazing home decor, and upstairs was a beautiful party room!

We made the room more festive with these Double Bubble Cloud centerpieces held to the base with a lovely matching purple sheer ribbon.  Our anniversary couple was celebrating 20 years of marriage!

This job came to us through our website contact form.  Have you checked out our website lately?  It's one click away at BloomingBalloons.com!  Please contact us for your next event!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Kick-Off Breakfast

We try to bring something new to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Kick-Off Breakfast each year, so this time we focused on the slogan "Finish The Fight" and spelled it out in 4 ft letters in the front of the room.  We also created a 10ft tall balloon wall backdrop featuring a pink awareness ribbon to go behind the speakers' podium.  To round out the decor, we added fireworks columns along the walls and hanging fireworks and ribbons in the registration area.  Lastly, we hung a the word HOPE over the Survivor's Table.  We are so inspired by the efforts of MSABC and we hope our decor added something special to their important kick-off event!

Two Events for Verizon this week!

We love our corporate clients and this week we had two opportunities to work with Verizon.  The first event, on Wednesday was for a Verizon executive's birthday party held at the Oakz Restaurant on Glenwood.  We did some Blue & White Balloon Trees to match the theme of University of Kentucky.

The second event was the Second Quarter Employee Appreciation Luncheon at the beautiful Capital City Club downtown.  That event was done in Verizon's signature colors of Red & White.  We did more Balloon Trees and some elegant Grecian Columns.

Welcome Little Prince Baby Shower

Another baby shower from this past weekend, but with a fun color scheme and theme that made it a little different!  The colors were Royal Blue and Orange and the theme was Welcome Little Prince.  Of course, the new prince needed a crown, so we made one to go between two baby bottles at the head of the room where the new mom was sitting.  We also did Double Bubble centerpieces with custom printed balloons inside, Party Poles for around the room, and a pacifier buffet piece.  The room was full of beautiful balloons and lots of happy people!

It's A Girl! Baby Shower

It was a baby shower weekend!  Here's the first baby shower we did for a wonderful first time mother and father welcoming a new baby girl at the end of this month.  We did pink baby bottles at the entrance, a baby bottle arch with pacifiers at the "mama couch", a baby in a bassinet for the gift table, and a buffet piece with pacifiers and an"It's A Girl" bow for the food table.

This whole shower was a surprise for the new mom and we had so much fun planning with the very excited daddy!  Best wishes for a healthy baby girl!

Bar Mitzvah at the Mill Room

This week, a rare thing happened!  We were called on Wednesday for a Sunday Bar Mitzvah and we actually had the opening.  Normally, we book at least 1 - 2 months in advance, but we just happened to be free Sunday and what better way to spend it than by making some beautiful and fun decor!

I think what we came up with was lovely!  Our Mitzvah Mom made some fun choices with all the curls and double bubbles and we were able to match her color scheme well.

If you are thinking of adding decor to your event, please call Blooming Balloons - even if you are on a short time frame!  We are more than happy to "make it work" so that you have beautiful decor that creates the perfect festive atmosphere for your special event!

Teaching Balloon Decor Around The World

I am so fortunate that I get to help other balloon decorators learn more about techniques and designs that have made our business so successful.  I have traveled all over the US and last January, I went to Japan to teach!  It was an amazing experience!  This week, I received the nicest thank you note and photos from one of the students from Japan.  I thought it would be fun to share on the blog!  I also included some of my favorite "off-time" photos from my trip to Japan.  I hope you enjoy this glimpse into what I do when I'm not working on local events!
